Click-and-Brick (Brick-and-Click) refers to existing companies, often called brick and mortar businesses, that have added online an online website for providing information and/or for e-commerce.
Example of click-and-brick:
Target stores are a traditional variety department store in the United States. Target has physical locations where consumers can visit and make purchases. Target also has an online website, target.com, where consumers can make purchases online. The concept of a click-and-brick is two-fold;
- the consumer can shop conveniently from their own home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and
- the traditional store can offer much more merchandise through their online store than they can in a fixed space brick and mortar type store.
